'Unwanted Person' Enters 2 Joliet Houses On Hickory: JPD

The 15-year-old emerged from the room as Dimas-Guzman exited and began running southbound on North Hickory Street, Joliet police noted.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police made an arrest last week of a 40-year-old Plainfield man, Cristian Dimas-Guzman in connection with allegations that Dimas-Guzman wandered inside two different houses on Hickory Street while people were home.

He was later released on his Notice to Appear on charges of criminal trespass, criminal trespass to property and criminal damage to property, according to the arrest reports.

At 10:14 p.m. on March 7, officers responded to a house in the 800 block of North Hickory Street for an unwanted person inside. Officers learned that Dimas-Guzman had kicked in a rear door to and entered the home without permission.

While in the home, Dimas-Guzman proceeded to the second floor of the residence and began kicking and damaging a door of a bedroom where a 15-year-old boy was located.

The 15-year-old resident emerged from the room and Dimas-Guzman left and began running southbound on North Hickory Street.

Officers learned that a 57-year-old man was also home at the time of the incident. Both residents indicated they did not know who Dimas-Guzman was and he appeared intoxicated.

A short time later, at 10:33 p.m., officers were sent to a residence in the 500 block of North Hickory Street for a burglary in progress.

Officers learned that Dimas-Guzman had entered a house without permission via an unlocked side door while a 26-year-old man was in the kitchen.

Dimas-Guzman exited after being told to leave by the resident.

It was determined that a 29-year-old man was also home at the time of this incident. Both indicated that they did not know Dimas-Guzman.

Officers spotted Dimas-Guzman in front of the house in the 500 block of North Hickory Street. Dimas-Guzman was identified as the male that had entered both homes without permission and he was placed into custody without incident.
