Used Car Dealer Filling Old Gregg Motors Location
The Joliet dealership, fourth in a chain, is about a week away from opening, manager Naveed Karim said.
Add another used car dealership to West Jefferson Street with the addition of Your Choice Autos, which is filling the location left vacant by Gregg Motors.
A Joliet city inspector was on site Monday at the 1506 W. Jefferson St. business, and dealership manager Naveed Karim estimated they would be open for business in about a week.
The dealership is the fourth in a chain for owner Mazhar Bhatti, who also owns used car lots in Posen, Markham and Crestwood. Karim said they have about 200 cars on display outside, and post all of their inventory on their Web site, www.yourchoiceautos.com.
The location was "ready made" for the new business, Karim said, since it's filling a spot that was the former Gregg Motors, which sold Lincolns and Mercuries as well as used cars. That business closed at least two years ago.
Your Choice Autos is the second used car dealership to take over what had been a new car business. Car Outlet at 1715 W. Jefferson St. used to be Bert Adams Pontiac.
Also located on the same street are JD Byrider Auto Sales at 2323 W. Jefferson, Bob Martin Auto Sales at 725 W. Jefferson and Bibian Brothers Auto Sales at 404 W. Jefferson.
