JOLIET, IL - A family who lives near Caton Farm Road has contacted the Joliet Police Department and taken to social media in order to let others know about a suspicious man who is lurking around the Joliet and Plainfield area. This man appears to be part of a criminal enterprise that involves residential burglaries. Video footage shows the man visiting one house and taking photos of the owner's locks for their house.
"A man intruded on our privacy and stole our peace of mind. We hope that you guys can publicize our story in hopes to scare this man away and in return, give us some of our sanity back," one of the homeowners urged Patch.
The homeowner said she and her children were at home when the man was lurking outside. "This man was casing our house while both my children and I were upstairs," she said. "I think his face should be plastered on all local sites for others to see."
