Violent Man On Clement Street Attacks Woman: Joliet PD

JOLIET, IL — A 30-year-old Joliet man from the 700 block of Clement Street was able to spend Christmas Day back in the community after being released from the Will County Jail following his arrest three days ago by Joliet police on felony domestic battery charges.

Joliet police brought Miguel Pantoja to the Will County Jail on the evening of Dec. 22, and he was let out on Christmas Eve. According to Joliet police reports: at 5:32 p.m., officers responded to the defendant's apartment in the 700 block of Clement Street for a domestic disturbance.

Officers learned that during an argument, Pantoja punched an adult woman in the face, arrest reports show. Although police say Pantoja ran off from his apartment, officers responding to the incident spotted Pantoja in the area, and he was placed into custody without incident.
