Violent Wilmington Woman Faces 7 Criminal Charges: Prosecutors
Brandy Kozel, age 43, was taken away in handcuffs by the Will County Sheriff's Office on several counts of aggravated and domestic battery.

WILMINGTON, IL — Just days after her release from the Will County Jail after posting bond on her meth possession charges, 43-year-old Wilmington resident Brandy Kozel is back in custody after Will County Sheriff's Office deputies say she attacked a man, hitting him in the face and twisting his knees.
The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged Kozel with seven crimes, three counts of aggravated battery and four counts of domestic battery.
On Aug. 17, Kozel attacked a man who is more than 60 years old in that she sat on his legs, struck him in the head and twisted his knee, the criminal complaint stated. The criminal complaint also states that Kozel bit another person "about the body" on Aug. 17 as well.

Kozel, who comes from South Rivals Road, was put into the Will County Jail around 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 17 and her bail is set at $50,000. She remains unable to post the necessary 10 percent to regain her freedom.
If she posts bond, Kozel has been told that she must stay away from the two victims as well as her Wilmington address on South Rivals Road, court documents show .
