Watch Joliet Armory Massacre Plotter Discuss Attack in Undercover FBI Video

He and his cousin were sentenced to decades in prison Tuesday.

One of the two Aurora cousins who planned to shoot up a Joliet Armory in hopes of killing 150 people can be seen on an undercover FBI video plotting the attack.

The nine minute video shows Hasan Edmonds discussing the Armory and how bullets can pierce through armor.

“The thing to remember about the armor the Army uses, usually they can sustain about two slugs to the center mass. The third one, especially if you have armor-piercing rounds, goes through,” Edmonds said.

The video was shot on a March 2015 surveillance mission outside the Joliet Armory, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Terrorism expert Robert Pape told CBS Chicago that Edmonds’ planning is “very methodical.”

“What you’re seeing here is not someone who is just kind of throwing it out there, he’s thinking hard about how he’s going to kill lots of people,” he said.

On Tuesday, Edmonds was given a 30-year prison sentence while his cousin, Jonas, received 21 years.
