Westshire Drive Domestic Violence Suspect Hides In Garage: Cops
Benjamin Juarez, 27, also had two outstanding Will County warrants for his arrest, Joliet police say.

JOLIET, IL — A 27-year-old Joliet man was arrested Wednesday afternoon inside his garage in the 1100 block of Westshire Drive following a domestic disturbance. Joliet police officers hauled away Benjamin Juarez in handcuffs, bringing him to the Will County Jail, where he's charged with domestic battery.
Juarez also had two Will County warrants out for his arrest.
Joliet police cars arrived on Westshire around 1:25 p.m. Police say that Juarez attacked a woman he previously had a romantic relationship with.

"It was learned that during an argument, Juarez spit on the victim and then threw an object at her, striking her in the back," police spokesman Dwayne English notified Joliet. "Officers placed Juarez into custody after locating him hiding in the garage."
At the time of the arrest, Joliet officers determined that Juarez also held two active Will County warrants for failing to appear in court on domestic battery and traffic charges.

At 23, Juarez was also the subject of a Joliet Patch article regarding his arrest, also in the 1100 block of Westshire Drive. Joliet police say he shattered his girlfriend's car window after a heated argument. "Juarez then ran up to the vehicle and threw an object at her vehicle causing the car window to break," police reports show.
Following Wednesday's arrest, Juarez was booked into the county jail around 3 p.m. His bail was set at $7,500.
