Will County Coronavirus Deaths Decline
Will County's Health Department now reports a total of 35 new coronavirus deaths over the past month.

JOLIET, IL — The Will County Health Department reported Wednesday that five more people from Will County have died as a result of the new coronavirus, bringing the county's total number of deaths to 35. On Tuesday, the county reported 30 deaths.
The latest five deaths from the coronavirus included: a woman in her 70s, a man in his 70s, a woman in her 60s and two men in their 60s. A day earlier, Will County reported eight more coronavirus deaths. (The state of Illinois had listed Will County's number of deaths at 10.)
According to Will County's Health Department, the number of coronavirus cases across Will County increased by 54 from Tuesday, April 7. The number now stands at 942 as of April 8.

That total was at 888 on Tuesday, April 7.
Also Wednesday, Will County Sheriff Mike Kelley announced that one of his deputies assigned to the security division inside the Will County Courthouse has tested positive for the coronavirus, making that deputy the first courthouse employee so far to have the illness.
