Will County Woman Among Three New Illinois Coronavirus Deaths
330 new confirmed coronavirus cases were announced in Illinois on Wednesday, and a Will County woman in her 50s is among three new deaths.

JOLIET, IL – A Will County woman is among three deaths related to coronavirus in Illinois that were announced on Wednesday. Statewide, 330 new confirmed cases of those infected with the virus were announced, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. According to an IDPH news release, the Will County woman who died was in her 50s. There are now 1,865 cases across 35 counties in Illinois with patients ranging in age from less than 1 to 99.
In Will County, 20 new confirmed cases were announced on Wednesday, taking the county-wide total to 50. Of those cases, 30 are female, 19 are male and one is unknown. Two Will County residents have died from the coronavirus.
Additionally, two correctional officers and an inmate at Stateville Correctional Center in Crest Hill have tested positive for the virus, according to the IDPH. The two officers are recovering at home, according to the IDPH release while the inmate is isolated and is recovering in the hospital. Those who have been reported as possibly being exposed to those infected with the virus are being isolated and the facility is on a 14-day lockdown.
