Woman Bites Ear At St. Joe's Hospital: Police
The defendant is no stranger to the Will County Jail.

JOLIET, IL - A 38-year-old Joliet woman remains locked away behind steel bars at the Will County Adult Detention Facility after being taken away in handcuffs and charged with aggravated battery. Joliet Police say they were summoned to the St. Joe's hospital on the city's west side on Thursday after Heidi Vetter began harming the medical staff inside the hospital.
According to the police report, "Vetter was at Saint Joseph Hospital for treatment when she threatened staff. Vetter then bit one of the hospital staff on the right side of the head causing redness and swelling. Vetter was arrested by officers for the above offense."
As of Monday morning, Vetter remained locked up at Will County for the fifth consecutive day.
