Woman, 58, Slain In Joliet: Police
Joliet's latest homicide happened in the St. Pat's Neighborhood Area.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police say the city's latest homicide victim, the seventh of the year, was found Thursday morning after being stabbed to death inside an apartment in the St. Pat's Area.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said officers were called at 10:40 a.m.

Officers responded to an apartment in the 200 block of Hunter Avenue for a woman in the apartment who might be dead.
Officers found the dead 58-year-old woman inside the apartment. She had suffered stab wounds to her abdomen. The victim was discovered in the apartment by family members.

"This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community," English said in Thursday night's press statement.
He said identification of the victim and the manner of death will be determined by the Will County Coroner’s Office.
No arrests have been made.
