Woman Put In Chokehold During Driveway Argument: Joliet police
While searching for Juan Hernandez, Joliet police developed information he may be at an address in Channahon.

JOLIET, IL — A 29-year-old Plainfield man is now residing in the Kendall County Jail after Joliet police say Juan Hernandez put his arms around the neck of a woman in the 8000 block of Settlers Pond Way. The incident was reported to Joliet police around 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
Now, Hernandez is facing charges of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery.

- Officers responded to the 8000 block of Settlers Pond Way for a past tense domestic disturbance. Officers determined that while Hernandez and the woman were in a vehicle in the driveway of a residence in the 2300 block of Carpenter Avenue, Hernandez put the victim in a chokehold and removed her from the passenger seat of the vehicle.
- Police said Hernandez then shoved the victim to the ground and kicked her, according to police.
- While inside the residence, Hernandez struck the victim in the face. The victim then fled the residence.
- While searching for Hernandez, Joliet police learned he may be at an address in Channahon. Officers responded to the 24000 block of South St. Peters Drive in Channahon and placed Hernandez into custody without incident.
