• Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report for 04-27-2026 (regionalmedianews.com) — Kewanee police logged a busy stretch from April 26–27, handling traffic stops, domestic disturbances, animal complaints, and several 911 calls across town. Officers also made multiple arrests, including for criminal trespass, aggravated battery, and driving with a suspended license, plus processed sex offender registrations and assisted residents with various concerns.
   

• Old gun restored, back in place at Pleasant View (kewaneevoice.com) — A historic 1905 Army field rifle has been restored and returned to its spot at Pleasant View Cemetery, thanks to volunteers from Kewanee and nearby towns. Kewanee’s American Legion Post 31 coordinated repairs, including sandblasting and repainting at the Great Dane plant and wheel restoration in Wisconsin. The group hopes the refreshed memorial will now last for many years.
