• 5 high-value Porsche cars damaged after fire that caused heavy damage to large garage in Kildeer (lakemchenryscanner.com) — A major garage fire on West Boschome Drive in Kildeer heavily damaged a three-car detached garage and five high-value Porsche vehicles, but spared the nearby home and caused no injuries. About 15 fire departments trucked in roughly 10,000 gallons of water because there are no hydrants in the area. Investigators say the blaze appears to have started from an electrical issue involving one of the cars.
