11 La Grange Candidates Endorsed During Slating Session

November 23, 2020 – On Wednesday, November 11, and Thursday, November 12, the Citizens’ Council of La Grange interviewed 12 prospective candidates for the Village, Library, and Park Boards. A total of 11 candidates were endorsed. They include:

Brecken Cutler

Joyce Hagen-McIntosh

Becky Spratford

Park District Board

Karel Jacobs

Lynn Lacey

Robert Vear

Village Trustees

Louis Gale

Michael Matteucci

Shawana McGee (two-year term)

Peggy Peterson

Village President

Mark Kuchler

Local elections for the above boards will be held in April 2021.

The next Citizens’ Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m. either at Village Hall or virtually. All interested La Grange residents are invited to attend.

The Citizens’ Council, founded in 1941, is a nonpartisan, non-profit, volunteer organization that seeks, evaluates and recommends candidates for local office in the Village of La Grange. Its primary focus is to find the best qualified candidates for the Village of La Grange, La Grange Library Board of Trustees and the Park District of La Grange Board of Commissioners. Equally important, the Council strives to keep its members - and all residents - informed on key issues in local government.
