66 Years and Counting- Cub Pack 3177 Leads Holiday Food Drive

Cub Scouts from Pack 3177 organized a holiday food drive in LaGrange for the 66th consecutive year. The boys distributed more than 1000 grocery bags throughout the Country Club neighborhood in LaGrange over the Thanksgiving weekend. Filled grocery bags were picked up by the boys in the early evening on December 6. The collected food was then packed into boxes and loaded into a truck for transport to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, which keeps the food pantry at the Second Baptist Church of LaGrange stocked. The Cub Scouts of Pack 3177 and their families collected more than a ton of food this year to help those in need.

The Pack is grateful to Trader Joe's of LaGrange for donating the collection bags. Food drive Chairman Andy Sarkady did a great job handling all the logistics and Ken Tucker was able to secure all the packing boxes at no charge to the Pack. Cub Scout Pack 3177 is very grateful to all our neighbors who donated food and staple items for those in need.
