Community Corner

14" Girls Slow Pitch Softball for Grades 2 through 10

The Community Park District of LaGrange Park offers girls the opportunity to play this version of America’s favorite pastime. Games are played at Stone-Monroe, Hanesworth, or Robinhood Parks, on Monday through Thursday with the possibility of make-ups being played on Friday and Saturday. This is a program that emphasizes participation and fun, while teaching fundamentals. Each player will play at least three innings per game and all players will be placed in the batting order regardless of whether they are in the field or not. Team rosters are limited so sign up as soon as registration begins to avoid disappointment. A birth certificate is required at registration for all new players to this program. Volunteers are always welcome. Please call Recreation Supervisor Dean Carrara at 708-354-4580. Register at the Recreation Center, 1501 Barnsdale Rd., LaGrange Park. More information: www.cpdlgp.org.
