New Fire Chief in Town

On June 28, 2011 James Charles Adams was sworn in as Westchester's New Fire Cheif by Village President Sam Pulia.  Chief Adams  was surrounded by friends and family as he took the oath of office prior to Mr. Pulia's State of the Village address.  Jim was born to Ann and Richard Adams of Brookfield(both now deceased)  and is the youngest of their five children.  Jim always had an interest in serving others.  His career started early on as he worked with ESDA and the Lyons Fire Department. After marrying Patricia Strnad of Riverside he moved to Westchester and started working for the fire department. Jim and his wife have two boys and a daughter together.  Jim has been active in the community over the years with the YMCA Indian Guide and Princess program, the Westchester Raiders, and as an assistant coach the to St. Joseph Charger Football team.  Jim recently graduated from Triton College with honors.
