Armed Robbery Of La Grange Store: Cops

Money and phones were taken from the store during the holdup, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – The 7-Eleven store at 9600 E. Ogden Ave. was held up earlier this week, La Grange police said.

The armed robbery was about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, police said. A total of $270 in cash and two phones were stolen, but the phones were later found outside the store, police said.

Another armed robbery occurred at the 7-11 in late November, in which a clerk suffered minor injuries.

  • A man stole several miscellaneous products about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road. The loss was estimated at between $45 and $70.
  • Graffiti was found Monday on the top deck of the garage at 80 Sixth Ave.
  • A resident in the 300 block of South Spring Avenue told police Tuesday that someone used the resident's Social Security number to make a purchase at Nordstrom. The initial purchase was approved, but the resident will not be charged.
