Author GISELLE POTTER Discussion and Book Signing
Giselle Potter, author and illustrator of The Year I Didn't Go To School, will visit Chicago this weekend

Author and Illustrator Giselle Potter will visit Chicago this weekend to see Chicago Children's Theatre's new, critically acclaimed live stage adaption of her popular children's book "The Year I Didn't Go To School: A Homemade Circus." On Saturday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m., Potter will participate in a post-show talkback and book signing.
"No doubt the play's exciting tales, drawn from Potter's own childhood when her family took a year off to travel Italy with their own puppet circus show, will provide a glimpse into how a beloved children's writer's unusual childhood influenced her development as an author and artist. Chicago Children's Theatre's all-new, circus arts-infused live production The Year I Didn't Go to School: A Homemade Circus is produced in association with The Actors Gymnasium and directed by Lookingglass Theatre Artistic Director Heidi Stillman."
Chicago Children's Theatre is presenting The Year I Didn't Go To School through March 19 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn St., Chicago. Show times are Tuesdays through Friday at 10 a.m., Saturdays at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sundays at 10:30 am and 12:30 pm. Single tickets are $10-$39.
