Citizens’ Council of La Grange Announces New Officers

The civic organization has new leaders for 2019-2021.

September 23, 2019—On September 11, 2019, during their first meeting of the season, the Citizens’ Council of La Grange approved a new set of officers for the next election cycle. They are as follows:

Chair: Tim Bjork

Vice Chair: Katy McQuiston

Roster Secretary: Jeff Philips

The Treasurer position will be voted on at the next meeting, October 9, 2019. La Grange residents interested in local government are encouraged to attend.

The Citizens’ Council, founded in 1941, is a nonpartisan, non-profit, volunteer organization that seeks, evaluates and recommends candidates for local office in the Village of La Grange. Its primary focus is to find the best qualified candidates for the Village of La Grange, La Grange Library Board of Trustees and the Park District of La Grange Board of Commissioners. Equally important, the Council strives to keep its members - and all residents - informed on key issues in local government.

The Citizens’ Council is interested in maintaining a membership that is diverse and represents multiple viewpoints from all areas of the Village of La Grange. They encourage the citizens of La Grange get involved. To learn more, join us at our monthly meetings.
