Citizens’ Council of La Grange Invites Public to a Candidate Meet

During a Meet & Greet, residents of La Grange can get to know the candidates for Village Trustee, Library Board, and Park District Board who

March 5, 2019—On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, the Citizens’ Council of La Grange will host a Candidate Meet & Greet at 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall. During this event, candidates for Village Trustee, Library Board, and Park District Board will speak about their priorities and then mingle with the crowd in order to answer questions in a casual format.

Current board members not up for election will also be available to answer questions from the public.

On November 7, 2018, the Citizens’ Council endorsed the following candidates:

For Village Trustee: Beth Augustine, Michael Kotynek, and Mark A. Kuchler.

For Library Board: Katie Allan, Elizabeth Crewe, Angela Larson, and Shannon Rischow. And for Park District Board: Tim O’Brien and Brian Opyd.

The Citizens’ Council, founded in 1941, is a nonpartisan, non-profit, volunteer organization that seeks, evaluates and recommends candidates for local office in the Village of La Grange. Its primary focus is to find the best qualified candidates for the Village of La Grange, La Grange Library Board of Trustees and the Park District of La Grange Board of Commissioners. Equally important, the Council strives to keep its members - and all residents - informed on key issues in local government.

The Citizens’ Council is interested in maintaining a membership that is diverse and represents multiple viewpoints from all areas of the Village of La Grange. They encourage the citizens of La Grange get involved. To learn more, join us at our monthly meetings.
