Congress Park School Pennies for Patients Fundraiser Nets $4,226
District 102 Students Fundraise in April for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The Student Council at Congress Park School in Brookfield sponsored a recent fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and while raising funds during the program, students also raised awareness about service and philanthropy. During the Pennies for Patients campaign, students collected change and online donations to support LLS’s mission to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. With the guidance of Student Council sponsors Michaeleen Nutley and Joe Giordano, the fundraising campaign was held throughout the month of April. In total, the school collected $4,226.02 to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
