Cub Scouts Make Important Scientific Discovery

Cub Pack 3177 discovers that science is fun (and educational) at inaugural science fair

Cub Scout Pack 3177 spent Friday evening exploring the scientific world at their first ever Science Fair. Newton’s Third Law was demonstrated in a rocketry experiment. A robot was built and programmed to perform multiple tasks. Principles of aerodynamics and inertia were demonstrated using Hot Wheels cars. Botany, biology, conservation and many other scientific fields were on display in more than 20 exhibits. The Gummi Bear “Growing” (and eating) experiment was a Cub Scout favorite.

This fun and educational event was attended by more than 30 friends and family members of the budding scientists. The Cub Scouts each received a special photoluminescent medal to commemorate the inaugural Pack 3177 Science Fair.

Cub Scouts in Pack 3177 attend all four D105 elementary schools. They enjoy hiking, camping, and many other fun activities. They also participate in numerous service projects in the community throughout the year. Want to learn more about Pack 3177? Visit www.cubpack3177.org
