District 105 Foundation Celebrates 2025 Scholarship Winners
School District 105 Foundation recently recognized four Lyons Township High School graduates with the annual D105 Foundation Scholarships.
On May 21 2025, Lyons Township High School hosted their annual Senior Scholarship Night. At that event, four outstanding graduating LTHS seniors and School District 105 alumni received the D105 Foundation Scholarship.
The D105 Foundation Scholarship is for all current LTHS Seniors who attended D105 (at least one year at one of the elementary buildings and two years at Gurrie Middle School). One scholarship is awarded to a former student from each of the four elementary schools: Hodgkins, Ideal, Spring Avenue and Seventh Avenue schools. Each scholarship provides the recipient a recurring amount of $1,500.00 each year for four years which equates to a total scholarship of $6,000.00 for each of the four beneficiaries. Applicants complete an essay and a team of Foundation board members review the essays and identify the four winning entries.
Since the 2013-2014 school year, the D105 Foundation has awarded 38 scholarships to amazing LTHS graduates. We are so proud of this year's scholarship recipients!
