LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange is planning to spend $179,000 on new signs at the town's gateways.

On Monday, the Village Board voted for a contract with Woodridge-based Western Remac to make that happen.

"If you enter a town, you are often greeted by a lovely sign or a not so lovely sign letting you know where you are," Trustee Beth Augustine told her colleagues. "La Grange has a few of these on the main entrances into our village. They are very old. Some are downright decrepit. But this will soon change."
