
The American Red Cross Lifeguard Recertification will be offered to anyone who has a current Red Cross Lifeguarding certification beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the pool in Riverside-Brookfield High School, 160 Ridgewood Road, Riverside.
To pass the aquatic portion of the recertification, a participant is required to swim 300 yards, surface dive and retrieve a 10-pound weight and perform all rescues. Once completed, he/she will dress and go to the Greater LaGrange YMCA, 1100 E. 31st St., La Grange Park, to complete the classroom portion and written test of the program. (Expect class to go until 7:30).
The written test must be passed with at least 80% accuracy.

YMCA staff members who work in the pool are required to have a current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or a current YMCA Lifeguardinig certification with them at all times. Sign up at the GLG YMCA membership desk.
