Our asana practice should help create a feeling of freedom and expansiveness in our minds, bodies, and spirits. Forward bends calm, backbends exhilarate, inversions provide energy and clarity. But many dedicated yogis find some poses unattainable. Physical and mental limitation may keep us from experiencing the benefits of these poses. Some limitations can be overcome with time, and some may be permanent. For either of these, thoughtful use of props can help. In this class, Susan explores the use of props in a creative way. From learning ways to use props to help with chronic difficulties in your regular yoga class, to unusual ways to use props to access new, deeper sensations in our everyday poses, Susan goes beyond the ordinary. This is not "Props 101". This class takes props to a new level. Whether you are a beginner, an advanced yogi, or an instructor, you will leave with new ideas, and experience the poses in a fresh way. If you have specific poses you'd like Susan to address, email focusyoga@ameritech.net so she can come prepared to address them.Fee: $25; registration required
