5K Run in La Grange in June

La Grange, IL — Emmanuel Episcopal Church of La Grange will host the 3rd Annual “Global Care 5K Run/Walk” next month to benefit Southern Sudan.
The run, which takes place at 8:30 a.m. June 25th starts in front of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 203 South Kensington Avenue, La Grange. The race is USATF approved. Registration on the day of the race begins at 7:00 a.m. but preregistration at www.emmanuel-lagrange.org is encouraged and appreciated.

Young and old alike can walk, jog or run through the historic village of La Grange. Trophies will be provided by age & gender as follows: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
Cost is $25 and T-Shirts are provided for the first 200 participants. All proceeds go to continue an ongoing project to provide medical care to the area of Melut, Southern Sudan. From past efforts, we have built the clinic, and medical supplies are now arriving. This important clinic is being built to address the dire health needs of this area and will serve at least 40,000 people who might otherwise go without medical care. Proceeds from this event could mean the difference b between life and death for people who share our world. Your participation can save not one, but many lives.
