Ex-LTHS Student Leader Praises Racism
White nationalist calls Trump "awesome" because he was racist and sexist.
LA GRANGE, IL — Nicholas Fuentes, the white nationalist who was once the student body leader at Lyons Township High School, was removed from Twitter a few days ago.
Earlier this year, Fuentes said on his podcast that former President Donald Trump was "awesome" because he was racist and sexist. But he lamented that Trump was not antisemitic.
Over the weekend, Fuentes was asked about Twitter's decision while he was at the site of the Conservative Political Action Conference at a Dallas hotel, an event that he was barred from entering.

"Twitter is f------ gay," Fuentes said in response to a reporter from The Blaze, a conservative media outlet. "They banned me because the SPLC and the ADL wrote a hit piece about me on the same day."
Fuentes was referring to two civil rights groups — the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League. He told the reporter that all he was told by Twitter was that he was being kicked off because of "hate speech."

Fuentes, host of the "America First" podcast, said he had been banned from every mainstream social media platform, but promised, "I will never go away."
A 2016 Lyons Township graduate, Fuentes was walking in the broad foyers of the hotel, followed by a number of clean-cut, well-dressed men in their 20s. He was wearing oversized sunglasses.
At his request, the crowd started chanting, "America first!"
In 2017, Fuentes gained national attention when he attended the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, where a woman was killed by a neo-Nazi. At the time, Fuentes wrote on social media that "a tidal wave of white identity is coming." And he promised once the word gets out, "they will not be able to stop us."
Fuentes also was at the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, although there is no evidence he entered the building.
After the event, Fuentes said on his podcast, "I am unapologetic. I thought the Capitol (riot) was awesome; it was awesome! And so was Trump. And Trump was awesome because he was racist. Trump was awesome because he was sexist. The only thing Trump wasn't awesome for was being antisemitic; he wasn't antisemitic. But the rest was awesome. And people have got to get racist."
