Together with the Citizens' Council of La Grange, La Grange's Police and Fire Chiefs present "Keeping La Grange Safe."

October 14, 2019—On November 13, 2019 during their third meeting of the season, the Citizens’ Council of La Grange will offer a presentation titled, “Keeping La Grange Safe.” Featured speakers include Police Chief Kurt Bluder and Fire Chief Terrence Vavra, who will discuss the latest strategies in place to keep the village and its residents secure. The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall. The presentation is free and open to the public. All interested residents are invited to attend.
The Citizens’ Council, founded in 1941, is a nonpartisan, non-profit, volunteer organization that seeks, evaluates and recommends candidates for local office in the Village of La Grange. Its primary focus is to find the best qualified candidates for the Village of La Grange, La Grange Library Board of Trustees and the Park District of La Grange Board of Commissioners. Equally important, the Council strives to keep its members - and all residents - informed on key issues in local government.
The Citizens’ Council is interested in maintaining a membership that is diverse and represents multiple viewpoints from all areas of the Village of La Grange. They encourage the citizens of La Grange get involved. To learn more, join us at our monthly meetings.
