Hubbard Street Dance Chicago brings two world premieres and one US premiere to the Harris Theatre December 10 - 13

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is known for its artistic creativity and the Winter Series 38 performances coming up at the Harris Theatre are yet another showcase for its global reach. December 10 - 13, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago brings one US premiere and two world premieres to the stage.

Crystal Pite created Solo Echo for Nederlands Dans Theater in 2012. Solo Echo is described as ”exemplary of the fluidity with which Crystal Pite’s choreography shifts between classical and contemporary techniques.” The musical score includes two sonatas for cello and piano by Johannes Brahms.

Penny Saunders’ world premiere was so new that it didn't have a title in a recent press release. The score includes music from Icelandic artist Olafur Arnalds and a collaboration between Grammy Award-winner Hilary Hahn and German composer Volker Beertelmann.
