Industrial Developers Bid On LTHS Land
Two companies bid on the Willow Springs property, with only one meeting the minimum price.

LA GRANGE, IL – An industrial developer was the high bidder Wednesday for Lyons Township High School's 70-acre property in Willow Springs.
Bridge Industrial, an international company, bid $55 million, which was the minimum price for the land, according to the school.
The other bidder was developer Prologis, which bid $46.5 million.

The wooded property is at the southwest corner of 79th Street and Willow Springs Road. The surrounding areas include a UPS facility, a country club and single-family housing.
At this week's school board meeting, two neighbors of the property expressed concern over the planned sale.

According to its website, Bridge is a real estate operating company and investment manager focused on the development and acquisition of industrial property in "supply-constrained" markets in the United States and the United Kingdom. Patch left a message for comment Thursday at Bridge's Chicago office.
San Francisco-based Prologis specializes in warehouses for the storage and transportation of goods.
School officials have said they would not be involved in the purchaser's zoning requests to the village of Willow Springs.
