An Inside Track For Ex-La Grange Manager?
The former La Grange official took a pay cut to become an assistant manager in Hinsdale.

HINSDALE, IL – Former La Grange Village Manager Andrianna Peterson appeared to have an inside track to fill the newly created assistant manager position in Hinsdale.
Until Tuesday, Hinsdale Village President Tom Cauley said nothing publicly about the addition of the new job.
At a Village Board meeting, Cauley said Peterson would assume the role of Assistant Manager Bradley Bloom, who is retiring in February.

Late last month, Patch filed a public records request with Hinsdale for information on the position. It asked for any documents showing advertisements for the newly created job and correspondence between village management and elected officials on the position.
On Tuesday, the village clerk's office said it had no such documents.

That response indicated the village never advertised the position. And it showed that management never put down in writing with elected officials its plan for the new position.
Peterson took her new job on Aug. 22. That same day, La Grange officials praised her 16 years of service to the village. They vaguely referred to Peterson's new opportunity, but did not mention that it was with the Hinsdale village government.
Peterson's salary in Hinsdale in $140,000, information that Patch received in response to its public records request. That is down from her $182,200 salary in La Grange – a nearly 25 percent reduction.
Cauley told the board that Peterson is also assuming the duties of Trevor Bosack, the assistant to the village manager, who left last month.
Cauley and Hinsdale Village Manager Kathleen Gargano have not returned Patch's messages over the last couple of weeks.
