La Grange Citizens’ Council Kicks Off Election Season

La Grange Citizens' Council offers a unique opportunity for citizens to slate candidates for all three La Grange Boards.

August 23, 2018 – The chance to ensure La Grange remains a high-ranking Illinois city is possible once again by attending the Citizens’ Council of La Grange’s election season kick-off meeting. At this meeting, the Council will discuss how La Grange citizens can become a member and participate in the autumn evaluation and slating of the candidates that would like to be elected to local office in April 2019.

This election season kick off meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 12th at 7:30 PM at the Village Hall and is an effective way for residents to give their voice to the village.

The Citizens’ Council, founded in 1941, is a nonpartisan, non-profit, volunteer organization that seeks, evaluates and recommends candidates for local office in the Village of La Grange. Its primary focus is to find the best qualified candidates for the Village of La Grange, La Grange Library Board of Trustees and the Park District of La Grange Board of Commissioners. Equally important, the Council strives to keep its members - and all residents - informed on key issues in local government.
