La Grange D-102 Closes Schools
Lyons Township schools are collaborating on plan, superintendent says.
LA GRANGE, IL — La Grange School District 102 is canceling classes starting Monday and tentatively returning Tuesday, April 7, the district announced in a statement Friday afternoon. This was in response to the coronavirus, although no cases have been reported in the district.
"This decision was to safeguard the health and wellness of students, staff and the community," Superintendent Kyle Schumacher said in the statement.
The Lyons Township superintendents have been in communication and collaborated on their closure plans across districts, Schumacher said.
