La Grange Firefighters Likely To Get Raises

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange firefighters are poised to get raises under a union agreement.
The union's members have already approved the contract. The Village Board is set to vote on it Monday.
According to a village memo, firefighters are set to get retroactive increases of 2.5 percent and 2.25 percent, respectively.

The village and union agreed to promote the two longest-serving acting captains to the captain position. This would mean waiving the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners' promotional process on a one-time basis, according to a village memo.
