La Grange Library Renovation Begins
Over 6,900 square feet will be updated to improve service, fix wear and tear on the building and respond to the needs of the community.

LA GRANGE, IL — Renovations to the first floor of the La Grange Library will begin Monday, June 11. According to the library, over 6,900 square feet will be updated to improve service, fix wear and tear on the building and respond to the needs of the community.
The project will be carried out by Landmark Construction and will be completed in early fall. Library services will continue during the construction. As of June 11, the Cossitt Avenue sidewalk will be fenced off, but the main entrance on the west side of the building will be open.
The library said the renovation will add an additional 700 square feet of space, and early learning play-based opportunities will be enhanced. The lobby will also be refreshed, and visitors will be able to access popular materials within feet of the entrance.
