La Grange Park Man Accused Of Sex Assault Of Child: Cops
The police were notified of an allegation against the man in February.
LA GRANGE PARK, IL – A La Grange Park man is accused of sexually abusing a child, police said Friday.
Carlos J. Martinez, 81, who lives in the 400 block of Beach Avenue, was arrested on a felony charge of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, La Grange Park police said in a news release.
On Feb. 11, La Grange Park police were told about an allegation against Martinez. The local police worked with the Proviso Children's Advocacy Center and the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.

During an interview, the victim disclosed that Martinez committed sexual assault, police said.
On Thursday, Martinez was taken into custody by La Grange Park detectives. A bond hearing was set for Friday.
