La Grange Parking Not As Bad As Thought: Official
Many spots are available on Friday and Saturday nights, according to the village.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange officials say they understand parking is a challenge downtown, so they are studying the issue.
But an official said this week that the problem is not as dire as some think.
At Monday's Village Board meeting, Trustee Beth Augustine said the village's parking deck is rarely filled. And she noted a school parking lot on Ashland Avenue is available on Friday and Saturday nights.

The village conducts parking inventories from time to time downtown. It did so just after the downtown movie theater reopened in late May, said Charity Jones, the village's community development director.
On average, 240 parking spaces were available on Friday and Saturday nights after the reopening, she said. Of those spots, 165 are in the village's parking garage.

Augustine acknowledged Jones' information.
"As we heard from Charity Jones, we do have some capacity," Augustine said. "How do we get the word out? How do we get residents and those who frequent the town to know that? I know we have some signage coming in, but not yet."
