La Grange Settles On Top Official
Trustees have yet to vote on the manager, but the village released a statement on the likely pick.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange announced the selection of a new manager Wednesday, replacing the one who left in August.
According to a village news release, Jack Knight, Lisle's assistant manager, is set to be sworn in as La Grange's new manager at the Village Board's meeting Monday.
The news release was written with the assumption that the board would vote to appoint Knight. In a later version of the release, the village called the appointment "anticipated."

The board, which last met more than three weeks ago, will vote on Knight's selection at its meeting, Village President Mark Kuchler said in an interview Wednesday.
Kuchler said the board was unanimous in its support for Knight. He said Knight was one of two finalists, with more than 50 candidates for the job.

Knight would replace Village Manager Andrianna Peterson, who resigned nearly four months ago to become assistant village manager in Hinsdale.
In Lisle, Knight makes $120,500 a year, according to the town's website. It is unclear what he would make in La Grange, but it's likely he would make more, given that Peterson's salary was $182,200.
According to the village, Knight has worked for 17 years in municipal government. For the last five years, he has been Lisle's assistant manager.
From 2008 to 2014, Knight worked for Woodridge, first as a management analyst, then as assistant to the village administrator, according to his LinkedIn page.
He was in Orland Park for three years before that. He was the assistant to the mayor and then a management analyst.
"Jack's years of experience, coupled with his passion for process improvement and team-oriented approach, made him stand out in a field of highly qualified candidates," Kuchler said in the news release.
