La Grange Wants To Focus On West End: Agency
The West End District has seen no development since 2005, a regional authority says.

LA GRANGE, IL — A state agency says it is helping La Grange update its transit-oriented plan for development.
In a news release this week, the Regional Transportation Authority said it will provide technical assistance and money to La Grange for planning.
With the plan, La Grange hopes to take advantage of development opportunities by addressing construction trends, changes in retail and changes in community habits, the release said.

In particular, the agency said, the village wants development on the West End, which has seen none since 2005. The West End is the neighborhood near the Stone Avenue Metra Station at Burlington and Stone avenues.
The entire study area includes the Central Business and West End business districts and any other properties within a quarter mile from each Metra station in La Grange.
