Late LTHS Teacher Leaves $250K For Scholarships
She was called an "outstanding" and "positive" teacher by one of her students.

LA GRANGE, IL – A retired Lyons Township High School teacher who died in March bequeathed $250,000 from her estate for scholarships for the high school's students, the school said.
Marilynn Pavlik, who retired in 1992, is making the scholarships available for students who have completed four years of a high school world language program, Superintendent Brian Waterman said this week.
Recipients must be a member of a high school language honor society and intend to major in world language education at a four-year university in Illinois, Waterman said.

"It's just another amazing example of our alums doing amazing work, our retired staff giving back all the time."
Board member Michael Thomas said he was one of Pavlik's students.
