Lion newspaper wins big at statewide journalism competition

Lyons Township High School Lion newspaper students scooped up more than 30 awards in the statewide Illinois Journalism Education (IJEA) contests, making this year’s staff the most decorated Lion newspaper since at least 2003. Awards include individual articles and overall newspaper and website work. The juried pieces were based on work published August 2018-January 2019.
