A Look At The Candidates For District 102 Board Of Education
There are four open seats in the election and five people are running.

LA GRANGE, IL — With the April election quickly approaching, La Grange School Board of Education District 102 candidates have already filed their nomination papers. There are four open seats in the election and according to the Cook County Election Commission, five people are running.
As of Jan. 14, the candidates are: Brian Anderson of La Grange Park, Bessie Emerson Boyd of La Grange, Jessica Mandra of La Grange Park, Leah Werab of La Grange, and Scott Wuggazer of La Grange Park.
Anderson is the current president of the school board and the only incumbent running. According to the District 102 website, Anderson was elected to the board in 2015. Current members Matthew Scotty, Jason Kowalczyk and Amanda Jandris have not filed for re-election.

Other board members are Michael Thomas, Michael Melendez and Edward Campbell. Those three members aren't up for re-election until 2021.
