LT artists win medals at exhibition

Lyons Township High School artwork was recently on exhibit at Elmhurst College’s 21st Annual High School Art Exhibition. Hundreds of paintings, prints, sculptures, computer art, and works in other media were on display during the two-week exhibition. Sixteen LT artists took home ribbons for their work.

LT art teacher Patrick Page said, “The Elmhurst College exhibition is LT’s second biggest art show. Students submitted nearly 150 pieces of art, representing nearly every medium. The Elmhurst College exhibition allows our students to see what other art students are producing and what inspires them.”

A reception was held to celebrate the artists featured in the exhibition. Displayed salon style and entirely filling the walls of the Founders Lounge in the Frick Center, the art represented in this show demonstrates the full range of media produced by art students.

This award is for a $2,000 scholarship if the student is admitted to Elmhurst College to study art.
