LT Chess Club Makes State Tournament In 2nd Year
In just its second year, the Lyons Township High School chess club has seen success.

LA GRANGE, IL - The Lyons Township High School Chess Club qualified for the Illinois State Chess Tournament in only its second year.
The team began the State Series at sectionals. But even though LT was seeded last, it beat nearly half of the 20 teams, finishing in 11th place and qualifying to compete at state.
They started the state tournament seeded 89th but moved up seven spots to 82nd by the end of the weekend.
