LT A Finalist In IHSA Student Section Showdown
The Lyons Township High School student section is a finalist in the IHSA Student Section Showdown.

LA GRANGE, IL - Lyons Township High School is a finalist in this year's IHSA Student Section Showdown. The school is one of five finalists announced by the athletic body recently. The school's video submission is listed as one of 12 entries among Class 3A and 4A schools on the IHSA website.
According to a news release from LT, the Student Section Showdown pits student sections from the around the state against one another to see who has the best spirit and sportsmanship.
School Student Sections not only include school spirit, the students must demonstrate that they follow the Do What’s Right! campaign, which includes:

- Representing their school and community well with positive interaction with opposing fans and players before, during and after the competition.
- Using positive yells, chants, songs or gestures.
- Displaying modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat.
- Respecting and acknowledge the integrity and judgment of officials.
- Exhibiting positive behavior in both personal interactions and social media comments.
Video submissions will be judged by the IHSA's Student Advisory Committee. The winner will be revealed at the Boys Basketball State Finals on Saturday, March 16.
