LT Steppers participate in virtual conference

The Lyons Township High School Steppers recently participated in the iStep Virtual 2020 Conference. Students participated in step and stroll breakout rooms where they learned new choreography and steps. They also participated in three workshops, which focused on the mentality of coaches, leadership characteristics and how to navigate life after stepping.

Sponsor Tamiaka Killins said, “I hope the Steppers gained some collaboration with other Steppers across the state, learned what traits make a great stepper, honed their competition routine theme development and had fun.”

New Head Coach MaCassa Johnson led the workshop entitled “The Next Step,” which discussed life skills after Steppers, high school, college, and the rest of their lives. She led the session five times and did an amazing job!”
