LT Students Participate In Secret Santa To Help Those In Need
Individuals, groups, teams and clubs sponsored 170 local children in need this holiday season.

LA GRANGE, IL — The Lyons Township Student Council has organized the school's participation in the annual Secret Santa program sponsored by the Rotary Club of La Grange. According to the school newsletter, individuals, groups, teams and clubs sponsored 170 local children in need this holiday season.
The school said in the newsletter each sponsor is given the first name of a child and a list of items to purchase. The goal of the program is to provide basic functional necessities for children whose parents have limited funds. In many cases, new clothing, books, school supplies and toys are unheard of luxuries for these families.
Student Council members collect the donations and deliver to Santa's workshop, where gifts will be wrapped and delivered to children's homes for the holidays.
